We are looking for a Global Supply Chain Manager who has a Technical or Professional qualification e.g. HNC/Degree Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive (or equivalent) for a results driven company that produces and sells airport ground support equipment for aircraft manufacturers, airlines and service providers
The Global Supply Chain Manager will need to have a proven track record in a Supplier Development / Improvement Environment and demonstrable experience of working with LCC Supply Chains.
It is essential that candidates for the position of Global Supply Chain Manager can demonstrate understanding and implementation of Six Sigma and/or Lean skills and have good analytical and presentation skills and are able to demonstrate their achievements in improvements and/or change management.
The position has arisen because the company operates in the special-purpose machine engineering sector and is experiencing vast business growth in the aerospace industry. The position of Global Supply Chain Manager will, in effect, be a start-up environment and so candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a hands-on capacity and deliver results.
The job will entail
* Developing and managing improvement activity throughout the Low Cost Country (LCC) Supply Chain to improve Delivery and Quality performance of Suppliers.
* Travelling to LCC suppliers to ensure achievement improvements
* Implementing planning and monitoring processes using best practice tools (e.g. Lean Manufacturing techniques)
* Developing and leading improvement workshops with key existing suppliers
* Ensuring participation from key stakeholders within Operations, Quality etc
* Leading continuous improvement within the ICC Supply Chain
* Improving profitability
* Resolving Supply Chain Quality and Delivery issues
* Developing time phased improvement plans for key suppliers
All candidates should be effective communicators with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
You should have global experience, be willing to travel globally and have previous examples of stakeholder management and the development of third party relationships
