Electrical Test Team Leader: Responsible for an RF Test Team of up to 8 staff including subcontractors, supported by the Test Manager
Support the Test Manager on Rf Test aspects of a project with respect to preparation and operations
To ensure the operational team are focused on the correct priorities and are working to clearly identified deadlines for tasks
Play a major role in operational process improvement
Achieve Schedule and cost during project operational phases
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Project Lead Engineer with Rf Test documentation to ensure
standardisation, aid with project preparation activities
Assist with validation of Project work packages / critically analyse schedule
RF Test Execution and results delivery, hands on testing (as required)
Daily personnel management ( right skill, right person, right place, right time ), Timekeeping, Ensuring team complete Timesheets, Tool / Test AID control, Behaviour, Team Morale
Chair Daily Meetings during Communications
Module test phase
Daily planning and completion, control and coordination of test documentation ensuring applicability and closure
Process improvement implementation (3C Panels, Shop floor data capture, innovation) providing an active role in lessons learned to improve processes and identify problems encountered to the Test managerImplement and maintain 5S within the working
area
Shift information management (daily logs, operations log etc.)
Ensure project schedule, cost and quality adherence
Management reporting, and front line interface with the AIT Project Team serving as a Technical reference for the Project in the Cleanroom for AIT RF testing Aspects
Reviews skills requirements with the Test manager in line with operational needs
Reports daily resource variance against the expected work package requirements to the Test Manager
Allocates tasks to team and ensures that the shifts are adequately loaded with materials and documentation
Scoping out the initial problems (on line) and identifying resolution
Change Request input
Health & Safety Governance for Cell including product liability
Input to project production GO meeting preparation
Performs Operations team Training
Integration team leader and planner / Scheduler liaison
Task / facility readiness management (FWD looking)
Production Supervisor: RF Test & Leadership
Required Qualification level Minimum of HNC level in Electrical / Electronic discipline, RF & Communications preferable or equivalent
Experience Requirement 5 Years Experience in RF Test environment
Understands all advanced functions and is competent in the use of:
Spectrum analyser s
Network analyser s
Frequency counters
Power meters
Frequency synthesizers
(In manual and automatic modes of operation)
Minimum of 2 Yrs supervisory experience
Working environment/industry Aerospace,
Communications, RADAR, Antenna s, EMC, ATE
ESSENTIAL: Quality environment, Cost Management, People Management and leadership, Procedures and process experience, Problem solving, strong RF test measurement experience, Utilisation of automated test systems
