Ref No 929 Vacancy: Electrical Design – Powertrain (2 vacs)

Location: Swindon

Key Role & Responsibilities
Coordination of projects from Concept stage through to implementation.
Development of Electrical specification for projects including cost study.
Electrical design of manufacturing equipment including software development.
Assistance to the plant in trouble shooting during large equipment breakdowns.
Coordination of electrical assembly (including contractor supervision) and commissioning of new installations.
Some foreign travel as required.

Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years experience in related industry
Experience of PLC programming
Ability to carry out hands-on activity such as field wiring and control panel assembly
Strong communication skills at all levels
Demonstrable experience of problem solving & implementation of countermeasures
Flexible approach to work and able to work weekends and shutdowns when required

Desirable
Experience of installation & commissioning of robotic & CNC cells
Powertrain knowledge and experience
Degree / HND / HNC in relevant engineering discipline
Experience of safety systems (Pilz pref.)
Experience of generating reports and presentations
Experience in CE Marking of equipment
Demonstrable experience of proactively driving through changes within current dept
