TECHNICAL AND PROJECT LEAD / PROGRAMME MANAGER

ROLE PURPOSE:

Working for a WORLD LEADER in Missiles and Missiles Systems!

Technical Lead Activities for the development of future missile solution products.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•First report to the CSE on one or more programmes providing technical lead, technical input and some aspects of programme management of the projects post-contract award and support to the tendering activities before this.

•Plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages.

•Day-to-day people management.

•Carry out a full range of technical analyses and investigations.

•Prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.

•Prepare a full range of bid documentation, specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained.

•Carry out investigations into a full range of problems, issues or developments and develop and prepare solutions.

•Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development.

•Manage and report against the team’s work programmes.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

•Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.
•Significant, relevant experience. In particular project and technical management.
•Knowledge of Defence Systems an advantage.
•Substantial analytical and problem solving skills
•Sound understanding of the system design process.
•Good verbal and written communications
•Must be willing to travel (ad hoc basis) to various locations within UK, EU and US to support work.
•MUST BE A UK NATIONAL (Security Reasons)

•Delivery of effective innovative design solutions.
•Successful and timely delivery of projects to customer’s satisfaction
