OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ANALYST DEVELOPER:
The Analyst Developer will be expected to enhance and develop my Client's IT systems using industry best practices and standards. The Analyst Developer role entails working at every stage of the development lifecycle. Use of good analytical skills in order to develop using a range of tools and languages. Good people, organisational and communication skills are required, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced / Agile environment as part of a team or on your own.
My Client is a Global Organisation in the Insurance Industry and is now undergoing rapid Expansion. This presents some very exciting opportunities for Analyst Developers of all levels and experience to join a friendly, professional and diverse team of Industry Leading IT Experts.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ANALYST DEVELOPER
" Quality Assurance & Support - Ensure completed work meets required standards of quality, and develop working practices to achieve improvements in both productivity and quality.
" To design and develop ensuring strong functionality and optimisation.
" The Analyst Developers will work with development / project/programme managers to produce a plan that enables the timely delivery of the various projects, small changes and bug fixes.
" Understand the business / delivery requirements and relate these to technical requirements.
" Submit design, code and unit tests for approval.
" Ensure all developments adhere to all quality and security standards. (Unit tests, owasp standards etc
).
" Conduct each phase of the software development lifecycle ensuring timely delivery of all activities across the projects
" Assess user requirements and formulate technical specifications that are cost effective and accurately meet the identified needs of the business
" Contribute to the implementation of new and modified systems
" To undertake relevant training and maintain competences in relation to Agile development.
" To undertake relevant training and maintain competences in relation to Payment Card Industry Security Standard Policies and comply with the specified requirements.
THE ANALYST DEVELOPER MUST HAVE THESE TECHNICAL SKILLS
" Web development skills .Net, C#, HTML, DHTML, XML, Javascript & CSS.
" Experience with SQL Server.
" Knowledge of Windows & IIS
" Knowledge and experience of designing and implementation large multi-platform solutions
" Experience of working in a web facing / customer environment.
Experience of a client / server environment.
" Knowledge of methodologies for developing, building and configuring a system / network.
" Knowledge and high degree of skill in diagnosing problems.
" To carry out maintenance and support of assigned systems.
" Ability to structure and create technical documentation.
